Update & Hawaii!

Wow, it’s been forever since I’ve posted anything on here! Primarily because I forgot my password, and failed to make an attempt to go through the hassle of resetting it. Many changes occurred in the last couple of months for me, I won’t get into all of them, but I can cover some right off the bat:

Dec 2012- Car accident

Jan 2013- Created my first Ecommerce site & officially a college sophomore!

March 2013- Received raise from my job (woo-hoo!)

Along with some emotional private situations, these are the very few positive (except for the first one) to have taken place this year so far! Aside from so much going on right now with school and work, I have been saving for our summer vacation trip to Hawaii! I honestly can’t explain how excited I am! We will be visiting the island of Waikiki beach for a family friends wedding. Exciting right? Pictures should defiantly be up when I get back!

It’s been a while since I opened this book. I just want to share a list of all the “awesome” things that you might bump into while you go through-out your day, and take a moment to really appreciate the small things (:

1. The other side of the pillow

-You know, the cold side.

2. Fixing electronics by smacking them

3. Peeling an orange in one shot

4. The final seconds of untangling a really big knot

5. The ‘thank-you’ wave when you let someone merge in front of you

6. The smell of rain

7. Getting off an airplane after a long flight

-Ok, I never been on a plane before, but wouldn’t it be like a long drive with no stops?

8. Perfectly toasted toast

-We don’t need the small burnt crumbs falling everywhere anyways.

9. Remembering a word that’s been on the tip of your tongue for so long

10. Locking people out of the car and pretending to drive away

-Ok, this might sound mean, but who hasn’t done this?!

11. Laughing so hard you make no sound at all

-As well as clapping, looking like a retarded seal.

12. Managing to squeeze out just enough toothpaste for one last brush

13. Finding the tv remote after looking for it forever

-This goes along with keys, wallets, cell phones, etc.

14. Sleeping with one leg under the covers and one leg out

15. Smell of campfire

16. Moving all your clothes from the washer to the dryer without dropping anything

-AWESOME.

17. That one really good pen that never gets lost

18. Waking up and realizing its Saturday

19. The gas arrow

-A filled up car is a happy car.

20. The 5 minute nap that feels like you have been asleep for hours & waking up feeling refreshed

Crazy how time can change almost anything right? People change, views on stuff that made a difference change, everything changes. So much can happen over a period of time. I’m 5 months away from becoming 20 years old. TWENTY. Meaning not a teen anymore, and I feel the pressure of not being able to take on the role of the irresponsible things I use to do. It’s almost unbelievable. I like to ask some people who are older than me what kind of experience they had between the ages of 18 through (say around 23). You would be surprised at how many different people live their life. Looking back 10 years from now, almost feels like a dream you just never forget.

So I’ve thought about what kind of things I will be spending my time writing about, and I’ve noticed that it actually takes a good amount of time to come up with something interesting to blog about. All my ideas usually come to me when I’m either working, at school, or doing something exceptionally busy. Great right? I know I can’t be the only one. Well from what I can remember, I can tell you a time about when I went to a place called Total Wines. If you never heard of it before, it’s a very large wine/beer and liquor store. So I stand there, staring at all the liquor, wine, and vodka. Indulging in all the types of cute packaging. For instance, there’s a cute pin up girl with a dress on a 750ml clear bottle. Something like that would convince me to buy. Don’t you think it’s crazy how packaging can make such a huge difference? As a visual person, it would be hard for me to purchase something that does not have good packaging unless I have used the product before, or if I saw a good review on it. So as I’m walking around the store, I briefly critique the color, shapes, patterns, font, size and personality of all the bottles. As time goes by, we are finally at the cash register. I’m usually use to taking stuff out of the basket and putting them onto the counter before it gets purchased, but this time I’m quite relieved that we are in a liquor store where I’m not able to hold anything. I realized I can spend my time there without any hassle of leaving now.
